There are a few
things a homeowner can do to assist in the smooth
completion of their project:
Please take
preventive action outside and inside your home.
Move any and all breakables away from the areas
within 20 feet of the house. This includes any yard
ornaments, grills, patio furniture and potted
plants.
We suggest removing
and/or covering any items stored in the attic (due
to the falling of finer grit between cracks and
gaps in plywood and plank boards). This is
especially the case when we install ridge style
vents and sawdust falls into the attic. You should
also move furniture and cover flooring under
skylights to be replaced. Please keep in mind
that home improvement work can produce significant
amounts of dust, debris, vibration and
noise.
Due to the occurrence
of vibration and slight movement in buildings
during the roofing/siding process, it is the
responsibility of the building owner/resident to
secure or remove any and all breakables from walls
and ceilings, including moving any furniture items
away from walls that may contain breakable
items.
If the grass is mowed
and leaves are raked nails are less likely to
nestle down in them. We take great efforts to
collect all of the fasteners from the grass and
other landscaping by using roller magnets and
putting down tarps, but some nails do get away from
us. Please advise family members to wear shoes
around the house for a few weeks following your
project. We appreciate bushes and trees being
trimmed for easy access to your roof and siding,
and to assist our cleanup.
Electricity must be
made readily available to workers on days when work
is to be preformed. Please advise us in advance if
for some reason this is not possible. NOTE: Not all
exterior outlets are operable when the interior
light switch that operates the porch light is
turned off.
Please remove any
vehicles from the garage and driveway and away from
the work area on the material delivery date and on
the job date. We will need access for delivery
vehicles and dumpsters, and may periodically block
your garage/driveway access.
A properly installed
driveway will withstand the weight of any of our
vehicles or debris hauling devices, loaded or
unloaded. Please make us aware before the crews
arrive if you have any special concerns in this
area. Due to the inconsistency of driveway
construction, be it asphalt, concrete or other,
Mike Priebe Roofing will not be held responsible
for any damage done to driveways in the form of
dents, cracks, scratches, marks, etc.
We do our best to
stay on schedule, but weather and other emergencies
can lead to delays. We will do our best to limit
delays.
Payment for work
completed is due upon job inspection and
presentation of invoice. One of our supervisors
will contact you for an appointment to inspect the
finished work and collect payment.
Please notify us
before project start of any special concerns that
you may have including children, pets, etc. If
there are ways for us to make this project less of
an intrusion, please let us know, and we will
address them as soon as possible.
We are looking
forward to serving you!
